• VaCAP exists to promote, protect and preserve the public interest in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• VaCAP exists to unite, preserve, promote, and protect the collective interests of all appraisal professionals in Virginia.
• VaCAP exists to provide an interactive web-based forum with information regarding current appraisal issues and bulletin boards.
• VaCAP exists to observe and report the actions of the regulatory, legislative, oversight, and standards-setting entities of the Commonwealth.
• VaCAP exists to represent its members by interacting with the regulatory, legislative, and standards-setting entities during their respective deliberations regarding any changes that may have an impact on the appraisal profession and, in particular, the appraisers in Virginia.
• VaCAP exists to promote needed changes in laws, rules, regulations, policies, and standards affecting all appraisers in Virginia.
• VaCAP exists to communicate any such changes that may affect appraisers, to the Membership.
• VaCAP exists to unite all those engaged and interested in the appraisal profession in Virginia, and to collectively serve and protect the interests of professional appraisers in Virginia.
